About the Rabbit
Me: My name is Derek Guay. (Pronounced ”Gee” not “Jee”. ”G” like in “Good” and “uay” like “ee”. ) Also, I answer to Derek, sport, champ, and hey. I live in San Diego, CA and work as a Flash developer, animator, and illustrator in the game industry. I like to try different things artistically so I figure this blog is a place to post all my experiments. The Blog: Ok, so the idea here is to post and talk about my work as an illustrator/designer/animator/programmer. I don’t know if I will stick to just that, but I will try to keep it some what within that realm. This blog is mainly something to catalog my work as I do it. Also, I don’t ever proof read and I spell quite poorly at times. I tend to miss large portions of sentences when distracted by shiny things or toys within reach. So any emails with corrections are appreciated but public comments to that effect are not cause they just make me look douchey. The Flannel Rabbit: The Flannel Rabbit is what I call the motivating force behind my constant need to learn and do new things. It doesn’t really matter what it is as long as it’s new and different, I usually have some interest in doing it. In that way the Rabbit is childlike and easily pleased. On the other hand the rabbit is fickle and vicious. When I’m too lazy in my attempt to learn new things the Rabbit gets pissy. Creepy right? I have a malicious little flannel rabbit in my psyche. We all have problems right? At least mine’s a bunny.
